Friends are the GREATEST!

This is a little delayed but I think it deserves a post.

A week ago Andrew and I were delighted to get to keep a sweet little friend of Eden’s from church. Emma Grace. I’ve talked about this sweet family before. We feel very blessed to have found some great friends like the Strates.

Here are a few pictures of the girls playing.

We also took them on a walk. I love walking on nice days!

While we were taking a stroll Andrew commented to me, “It wouldn’t be so bad having two. You think?”
Me: “Your right it wouldn’t because both of the girls are being good right now. Just think of Eden times ten when she is having a cranky day though.

I just don’t think we are quite ready for two. One day though. One day.

I really do admire mothers with several children. Kids need lots of attention and it’s so neat to see mothers who have several children interact with each one of them, and know each ones specific needs.

I hope one day when we make that decision to add an addition to our family, that I will be able to split my love equally. I know I will, but it’s difficult to think about right now.

I think thats something to add to my prayer list.

For now though I'm going to soak up every minute with my sweet little girl, who is currently sitting in a big girl chair without a booster eating ham and corn with a fork.

Sewing Makes Me Smile!

So today, instead of cleaning my floors during Eden's nap. I decided to do a little sewing. Sewing to me is like a de-stressor, I just enjoy doing it.

Here is what I came up with, a pillowcase dress and some pants to match.

I really love the pillowcase dresses. You can wear them during the summer and the winter. Just add a long sleeve shirt underneath.
This is the first one I made. Thanks to my good friend Elizabeth for helping me along. I think it turned out pretty cute.

Now for a fun little dance clip.

Yes I was wathing the new tv show Glee. Don't judge. HAHA!

You mean, thats nasty?

So today I was frantically trying to get ready, so we could go into town. My mind was totally focused on putting the last little bit of mascara on, that I didn’t even see my child lift up the toilet seat and dunk her baby doll in the “wonderful clean pot!”
I did in-fact hear the water dripping of the baby as she raised the innocent little doll out of that “wonderful clean pot!” The words I had right then for the sight I saw was, NASTY, SOOIE, OH MY STARS, OH MY STARS Child, What Have You Done?

I quickly took the doll away and stowed her in the sink. Eden looked at me with those big hazel eyes and said, sooie mama, (with her hands over her mouth.)
I guess I’m not really good at keeping a straight face, because I defiantly cracked a smile and started laughing. It was kind of funny but REALLY NASTY!

Then…

Yes, there’s a then.

Not to shortly after that, I was putting away some dishes and Eden being the tall child that she is opens my measuring spoon and cup drawer and pulls out a cup and spoon. She was having a jolly old time with them and that was fine with me, because it was keeping her busy while I finished up.
As I was finishing up I noticed it was a little to quiet in the house. Houses are never quiet when toddlers are present. So I went to check things out.

Where did I find her you ask?

Your right, the bathroom!

She was playing in the guest bathroom toilet this time, except the measuring spoon and cup were the innocent victims this time.

I never knew a toilet could be so fascinating.

I mean clearly she does not know what goes on in a toilet. The water is the only thing on her mind. It kind of makes me wonder what goes through her head when she lifts up the lid to find standing water in a big white bowl, besides the obvious, lets dunk things in it.

Well, after a little talk intitled “Toilets Are Nasty,” which I’m sure she will forget, being that she is only 18 months old. We washed our hands really good, got our things together and left.

We ended up spending the day with Elizabeth and Emma Grace, which is always fun!

While the girls played we worked on pillow case dresses for the them.

The ending results, VERY CUTE!

I’ll have to post a picture once I remember to take one of Eden in it.

That was our day folks. One funny productive day.

I couldn’t post without a picture.
In the picture are my sweet in-laws and wonderful sister in-law.
They came to visit a few weekends ago, so we had to get a family picture.
I love all our family so much.

A Walk In The Gardens

This post is certainly overdue, but I just had to share these pictures with you.

Three weeks ago Eden and I took a two week trip to NWA, to see family and to attend my best friends wedding.

During our stay we were able to visit the Botanical Gardens of Springdale, with Nana Niecy and Doodah. The day was September 8th to be exact. It was Nana Nicey’s birthday and we were so excited to be with her on that special day.

The Botanical Gardens are beautiful. There are several different sections of the gardens you can visit. Each section is different and unique.

Eden enjoyed walking around, looking, and smelling the pretty flowers.

She also saw chickens

Sat on a swing for a quick ride

Hiked up the steep bird’s nest that overlooks part of the gardens.

And played in the water, which is one of her favorite things to do.

I must say we all had fun, but were exhausted by the end of the day.

Recent Happenings

Let me just say that this sweet little face loves climbing in things she can't get out of on her own. The picture below is a perfect example. She played like that for a good five minutes. Once she figured out she couldn't get out on her own, the water works came. Five minutes later she was back in it, doing the same thing.

This one explains itself... right? HAHA!
This is how she tells us she's done with her food.

Look everyone... it's a poneytail!!!
Isn't it adorable? I'm biased, I know.
This is her first poneytail. Her hair is finally long enough for a poneytail that stays up a good 30 minutes if she's not playing to hard.

On this day Eden decided to "HELP" me with my laundry. Keyword help.
My whites ended up all over the house. So if someone comes to vist and finds a pair of dirty socks in the couch... I'm not pointing any fingers, but it might be the little girl with a big smile on her face. I'm just saying.
Last but not least her favorite dogs and the greatest place to play.

There you have it folks. It's all in a days work.
I've got the best job in the WORLD!

Football Season! OH YEAH!

Football seasons here and I’m super excited!

Our family and some of our friends decided to watch the PG Hawks and the Hooks Hornets play against each other tonight, in our great hometown of Hooks.

It was a great time! Although the weather was not quite football weather, it was an enjoyable night. The bleachers were packed on the PG side. That’s who we were rooting for, so we decided to spread out our blanket for the girls and just stand. We left around half time with the score being 30-something for PG and Hooks 0. GO HAWKS!

I wish I would have taken more pictures. I have really gotten bad at taking pictures. I know my mom taught be better then that.
Really in truly, the only picture I got was of Eden’s shoes being on the wrong feet.

I have to laugh about it because I’m the one who did it. I’m always putting Eden’s shoes on the wrong feet. Poor girl! My friend noticed it while we were eating and started laughing. One day I’ll figure out how to put my daughter’s shoes on the right way. DUR-ta-DUR!

Next on the agenda, My best friends wedding.

I’m leaving Monday for Springdale and will be there for two weeks. I am so excited to spend time with my best friends and family.

I will for sure be posting pictures of my best friends wedding. I know it will be gorgeous!

I hope yall have a great weekend.

Oh yeah and whooo pig sooie! The HOGS are playing tomorrow!
