I'm so excited about this weekend. Twlight comes out!!! YES!! I have been counting down the days. Andrew asked me today, so are you ready for Friday? I said, are you ready for Friday because what an amazing day it will be. Once we heard this movie was coming out I quickly checked Andrew's schedule to see if he had that night off, and he did. We officially claimed that night date night. So, we found a sitter for Eden which she'll love playing with someone new, and once Andrew gets off work at 6 and the sitter arrives, were off.
I know it's a short post but I just had to write about our big day Friday. I'll let everyone know how it went. And maybe if I'm good I'll take some pictures but I've been pretty forgetful lately. Ice cream is just not edible when you put it in the fridge. Oh me.
Today was a lazy Saturday just like it should be on some occasions. Eden slept till 7:15, pretty good if I say so myself. She’s been getting up at 5:30 or which is still pretty good considering she goes to bed by 8:30 or 9. I think the reason she slept so well was because she played so hard last night with some new friends she made at a birthday party for one of Andrews DPS partners. Although the kids were a little bit older then she was she enjoyed every minute of being around them. We have to have more play dates like that more often. Well back to our Saturday. I let Andrew sleep in poor thing. He didn’t get in from work till 3:00, after he woke up though Eden was already taking her morning nap, which she takes about 10. That was kind of nice because it gave Andrew and I some time together. So for breakfast or should I say brunch he made his notorious pancakes that we hadn’t had in a long time with some scrambled eggs. Ummmm what a good brunch!
After breakfast we attempted to do homework. He has a lot of reading to do and I have a fun paper to write. He was a little more motivated then I was. I started my paper but soon gave it a rest because I became frustrated with it. I can’t wait till I get past these general classes so I can move on to what I love to do which is Social Work. I guess that explains why Andrew was so motivated. He’s taking classes that are based on his criminal justice degree. I have to say I’m pretty proud of him for working and getting his masters at the same time. The online masters program works out great for him and his busy schedule. Keep it up Drew Bear.
Well Eden finally woke up around one and we ate lunch and then played for a while. She was exhausted after all her playing so down she went for her second nap of the day. During that time Andrew fixed an amazing pot of tortilla soup for dinner and I worked on the guacamole dip. It all smelled so yummy but we had to have patience and wait. Andrew had to work tonight at 6 so Eden and I hung out till he got home for supper. While we were waiting Eden was playing with some toys while I was trying to work a little more on school work. I had the TV on in the background just for a little extra noise when an up beat song came on off the movie Bruce Almighty. Eden dropped everything she was doing turned to the TV and started bouncing to the beat. I couldn’t stop laughing it was the funniest thing. I love to watch her when music like that comes on she’s either clapping her hands or bouncing. That girl is going to be a dancer some day I just know it.
Soon after Eden’s dancing spree she had her dinner and bath time. It took her a little longer to wind down but she finally went to sleep about 9:30. I love putting our little princess to bed especially when she cuddles close and rubs my face until she falls asleep. That’s only on occasion. She usually just falls asleep right after her bottle but tonight it took her a little longer to go to sleep. I cherish every moment I get to cuddle with my baby. I thank God regularly for our little girl.
Speaking of thanks, Thanksgiving is just around the corner and I am so excited. I get to actually fix my first Thanksgiving dinner for my family. I’m a little nervous because it is my first time so I don’t know how good it will be, but I can’t wait to take a stab at it. My in-laws are coming too which I’m really excited about. It will be so fun to have them here. I know Eden can’t wait to play with them.

To trick or the treat
These past couple of days I’ve been sick with a viral infection and have not been able to make it to the computer to blog. A lot of rest with a lot of help from Andrew and my Dad as well as a trip to the doctor’s office has gotten me feeling better then I did. Well, enough about me I want to talk about Eden’s 1st Halloween. I know, I’m a little late but stay with me. When we first moved to the neighborhood we live in now, our neighbors across the street warned us about the up and coming Halloween night. They said loads and loads of kids and their parents will be coming through our streets so be prepared with lots of candy. On that note I went out and bought 5 huge bags of Candy thinking this is way too much. Halloween night rolled around and the anticipation of the doorbell ringing and the first Trick or Treat being said was weighing on my mind. “I truly hope we have enough candy,” was the thought running through my mind. I was keeping myself busy cooking some great Chili in the Kitchen when the sound of the doorbell echoed through our house. I looked at the clock 5:30. REALLY! 5:30 seems a little early don’t you think? Oh No, not for this neighbor hood. Our first trick or treater at the door was our neighbors friends little girl. As I was giving her our first piece of candy out of the bowl, Andrew jumped around the corner and yelled, BOO! It startled her a bit, She smiled and walked backwards gazing at us awkwardly. What a way to start off the night.
Twenty minutes later after that girl left, there was a flood of trick or treaters. At one point I thought it was going to let up, but it never did. My parents were on their way in to stay with us for the weekend and they called to tell us they were here but were having trouble getting into our neighborhood. WOW! Where was all this tricker treating action when I was little. My parents finally made it in to our neighborhood. It was really great to see them. Eden was really excited! She loves it when her grandparents come and play with her. Well, the candy was dwindling fast. Faster the I anticipated so I sent Andrew and my dad up the street to the local grocery store. It was so close they just grabbed a flashlight and walked there. They arrived back at the house just in time to give the next trick or treaters at our door the candy in their sack because I had just ran out. Whooo, thank goodness they went and got extra candy. I would say we had about 300 tricker treaters come by our house. I was truly amazed! Our next door neighbor was right. Halloween in Hooks was definitely a big to do. Eden soaked up every minute of it. She loved looking at the different costumes. I know she was just dying to get out there and trick or treat herself. Her time came the next day though at our churches Trunk or Treat. Her amazing Halloween costume was a pink poodle. She looked so adorable in it. I just couldn’t stop kissing her sweet cheeks. Andrew and I just loved her in that precious costume.

I've Been Tagged
I was tagged by an amazing mom AJ who wanted me to share seven random facts about myself. This should be interesting.
1. I have become obsessed with the book serious that Stephenie Meyer has put out called the Twilight Series. When I first heard about the series I was a bit skeptical. It was about vampires by all means, but I was drawn to it because there was a love story involved. How can anyone pass up a love story? I bought the first book in Dallas this past year when Andrew was still in training and could not put it down. I have now read all four books and am counting down the days till the movie comes out. I loved this book series so much I decided for Halloween to carve a pumpkin with three werewolves in it. Silly me I forgot to take a picture of the best pumpkin I’ve ever carved which I’m pretty disappointed in. It took all day long to carve but it was worth it. I named the three wolves in the pumpkin I carved Jacob, Seth, and Quil from the book. Andrew just laughed at me but truly appreciated the amazing pumpkin.
I found the same exact pumpkin I carved off of a friends facebook page. We both had the same idea
2. When I go out shopping the two most popular places I love to hit up are TJ Maxx and Hobby Lobby.
TJ Maxx is one of my favorite stores to frequent. I love the bargains I can find there. I would shop there almost everyday if I could but I limit myself to a few visits a month.
I also love shopping at Hobby Lobby. I get on the computer every Monday to check out the new ad for the month and to see if that week they are offering the 40% off coupon. What I like about that store the most is its consistency. I know that if there is something I just can’t live without and it’s not 50% off that week, it will be the next week so I wait. 
3. I love the smell of clean laundry. I do my best every week to make my laundry smell the best it can. I haven’t quite mastered the exact smell I want but I’m close. Every time I go to Wal-Mart I have to smell the detergent I’m going to buy before I take it off the shelf; even though I buy the same detergent (Gain) every time I have to smell it. Sometimes I don’t need detergent when I make grocery trips but I find myself on that aisle just so I can smell the fresh sent of Gain and softener preferably Simple Pleasures with lavender.
6. I love to dance! I find myself dancing around the house while I’m doing chores or cooking. I really would love to take dance classes again just so I can get back into shape. Also if I were a star I would totally sign-up to be on dancing with the stars.
7. Since I’ve been married I’ve been slowly drawn to antiques. I have only a couple of antique pieces like fiesta wear which I collect, but would love to start collecting more antique pieces. Antique shopping is something that I would love to start doing more of. I think it might be a new passion.
