A weekend full of fun!

I'm excited to say that this weekend is the ladies retreat, for the Robinson Ave. Church or Christ in Springdale, AR, where I use to attend before I moved to Texas. This year it is in the same location, Branson, MO, as it was last year. I love this place! I think it's a wonderful location to have a ladies retreat. We will be staying in log cabins in the mountains of Branson.

Last year at this time I was pregnant with Eden and very fortunate enough to go on the retreat. It was a weekend full of spiritual uplifting, mountain high experiences (no pun intended) along with fun and exciting times with friends.

This year I will be taking my sweet little girl Eden. I'm excited she will be going. She'll have her Gammy there along with some other babies her age. I'm sure it will be an exciting time for her as well. I know she won't remember this experience but it will be a wonderful environment for her to be in.

Please pray that everyone will have safe travels and that God will open the hearts of the speakers this week and that their words will be heard and taken to heart.

Hopefully my next post will be full of pictures and stories from this weekend.

God bless everyone and have a GREAT week!

A weekend recap and relaxing Monday

This past weekend we were able to see our two adorable looking niece and nephew. They were in the process of moving to Nashville, TN and made an extra stop in good ole Hooks, TX to see us along with Mark and Renee who also saw the twins for the first time. We had a house full of family, but it was wonderful all being in the same place at one time, FINALLY, except for Megan who we missed and wish she could have come. It was a very short visit but we’ll all Lord willing be in the same place again this summer for a beach vacation. I can’t wait!

Watch out yall, Veve might just be the next rodeo queen

The twins are doing so well. I can't belive how strong they are. It was so fun to watch them roll over, see them laugh and kick their legs up. Watch out though the twins really know how to gain up on you. You never know when your going to fill a swift kick in the leg, or face if you get to close.

Eden loved the twins and didn't mind joining in on their fun.

Our Monday was laid back. Andrew was off today and took Eden to the office with him this morning to turn in some paper work. Andrew always likes showing Eden off to all his coworkers, plus it was great father daughter time. Andrew also wanted to give me some time to sleep in which I don’t get to do very often. It was SO NICE! I slept till 10:00. I have a GREAT husband!

The rest of the day was devoted to playing with Eden, and while she was napping, knocking out a little bit of my homework.

Eden has taking a liking to these glasses. She is always pulling them out wanting me to wear them or wanting me to put them on her. Today we decided to do both. Pardon the way I look. Like I said it was laid back Monday.

Cheese-in it up during bath time (silly girl).

All in all it was a fairly productive day. We had breakfast for dinner. Eden enjoyed her bath as always and then bed time at 8:00, which gave Andrew and I time to watch the Bachelor Tells All. I love watching that show. It’s so funny to hear what the girls are going to say next. I can’t WAIT till next week though. It’s going to be GOOD!
Who do you think has the Bachelor’s heart?

Our Wonder "Us" Wednesday

Our wonder “us” Wednesday started off at the mall yesterday morning. Eden and I made a special trip to the mall for story time. I was so excited about story time, hoping it would be just as wonderful as last weeks story time, at the library in Springdale. Story time at the mall met in the play arena outside of JcPenny’s. Eden was so excited to get out of her stroller and play with the other kids. She was not afraid one bit to join in. I was a little surprised, but it was wonderful to see. Well, while Eden was playing, a library attendant showed up. I was so excited for story time to start but I was disappointed when it never did. Story time there meant if your child wanted a book read to them the library attendant would do it. I guess I just had really high expectations of what story time looked like. I do think what the Texarkana library is trying to do is wonderful don’t get me wrong. It was a wonderful time for a child to be read to. All in all I thought our morning us time was great.

Later that day we spent more play time at home after a quick lunch at chick-fil-a. While we were playing, Eden found one of my house shoes and decided to try it on. She looked so cute trying to walk around in them. That little moment made me think how fast our little girl has grown. Can she really be walking around with one of my house shoes on already?

Speaking of little moments, Eden has become more affectionate this past month. She has been more giving with her hugs and sweet kisses. I was washing the dishes the other day and Eden being her sweet little self sat down beside my feet and played. It was a wonderful moment.

Another sweet little moment is seeing Andrew and Eden watch baby einstien together on the floor. Andrew is such a wonderful husband but an even more amazing dad. Little girls sure know how to capture a daddy's heart.

Ok one more little moment before I go. Eden has a little blanket lamb that she loves dearly, which is fairly recent. She carries it around with her everywhere. Today it was time to eat lunch and she wouldn’t let go of it, not even for a second so I could put her in her highchair. I managed to get her in her highchair while she held her blanket tightly in her handsHere are just a few other pictures I captured that make me smile.

I feel so blessed to be able to stay at home with our little girl right now. She is such a joy to Andrew and I. We truly love spending every minute with our loveable little princess.

Our Little Valentine

I know this post is a few days old but it’s been a hectic few days and I am finally getting around to it.
This was Eden’s first Valentines and what a Valentines it was.
Saturday morning we left early from Springdale, Arkansas in order to make it home to see daddy, because he was also on his way home from working in Victoria, Texas, doing border star work for DPS.

Eden and I were so excited to see daddy. We got the house all cleaned up, dinner fixed along with dessert, and the table set.

Eden was getting a little hungry so she ate early, but she waited till daddy got home just so she could give him some kisses.

Daddy arrived home around eight o’clock and boy was it good to see him. He had Valentines cards for his girls and a very pretty be my Valentine bear for Eden. She loved it so much.

I call this the heartfelt chocolate brownie dish
It was VERY YUMMY!
Our little love muffin.
You just can't say no to this face.
