Christmas is the GREATEST Time of the Year

This Christmas had several firsts.

It was mine and Andrew’s first Christmas together in our own place with our own Christmas tree and our first Christmas with our little girl. Christmas time last year I was
6 ½ months pregnant with Eden.

It was our first Christmas to actually host family, which was fun.

It was Eden’s first Christmas. She was 9 months old

It was also Eden’s first time to sit on Santa’s lap. I must say she did well, she didn’t cry but she didn’t smile either. She was a little confused.

Next year Eden will take to Santa a little better I’m sure.

After waiting in line to sit on Santa’s lap, we anxiously awaited the arrival of my parents and brother later that Tuesday, the day before Christmas Eve.

When they finally arrived everyone was exhausted from a long day of traveling so going to bed sounded like a great idea, only after Eden played with the Santa Clause ornament whose nose blinked red.
The next day we did some last minute shopping just because we could and then latter that night my dad cooked our families all time favorite and traditional Christmas Eve dinner, “Cream Tacos.” Which brings me to the next exciting part. My big brother actually drove up from Tulsa to spend Christmas with us. I was pretty excited! I wish we didn't live so far so we could visit with each other more often. Once Carey arrived we ate that delicious meal you see on the table.

Much latter that night we played a few games of Mexican train which is a great family game.
After playing for a couple hours it was time to hit the sack and let those little sugar plums dance in our heads.

This is what we had to look forward to

The next morning we were so excited to get up and see Eden’s face opening all her presents, stocking, and to see her gift from Santa for the first time.

She loved tearing back the wrapping paper

Her doll on the left was lovingly made by her great grandma Virginia.
She loved it!

Eden enjoying her horse from Gammy and Papa Lowe
gave her. This was a couple of days after Christmas. Eden didn't look this happy later Christmas day due to the fact she had a low grade fever.
Eden was torn between her new horse and the play cube Santa got her.
Just loving on her horse
The day after Christmas. Eden loved sitting in my
new rocking chair from my parents. She's becoming a big girl
Sunday all dressed up for Church

We all had such a wonderful time together. It's just to bad we can't do this every month.

A couple of days latter for New Years, my in-laws came for a visit.

Eden was so excited to have so many familiar faces to play with.

During their stay we opened up some Christmas presents, which Eden loved!

She loved her ball play center that Grandpa Matt and Grandma Niece got her.

The puppets were also a great hit from Megan!

A shout out to Mark and Renee for the Sam's Card! That will be used a whole lot!

We all enjoyed the time together playing games, shopping, and relaxing.
