Baby Update

Sleeping right now is not an option, that’s how excited I am. I can’t really complain because I have had some pretty restful nights, but this weeks resting streak is coming to a close. I went to the Doctor yesterday for my weekly exam hoping for some new news but I heard the same news for the 4th week in a row. “WOW your baby is really low… Do you feel like your sitting on a bowling ball?” “Well Hun you’re still at a one” Those were the words I didn’t want to hear. Although I am glad she is nice and healthy. There is nothing like hearing a different heartbeat other then your own coming from inside you. Well, so I ask the Doctor about possibly inducing labor this weekend and explained my story about Andrew being away and having time to get back for the birth. She was very understanding and went to check the weekend schedule to see if there were any openings for inducement. With my fingers crossed I waited… She entered the room again and with hope in her voice she said, “Well all the slots for our clinic are filled, but the other clinic has two openings that if not filled by Thursday they will give those slots to us. So the only thing we can do is call you Thursday and let you know if you can come in that night to be induced.” So now I’m waiting in anticipation to see if I’m going to have our little girl this weekend. Of course this situation is way out of my hands, so if it’s not meant to be then I will understand. God has both hands in this decision pot and I know that our little girl will come when he wants her to. In the mean time I will continue to walk a lot, eat Mexican food, and maybe do a few lunges here there.

Can I just say that I am so proud of my husband. He is the hardest worker, so dedicated and smart, and really looks good in his uniform. He’s almost done with his training. He has a huge test Thursday morning and I know it’s hard for him to concentrate right now as he too waits to hear from me about the doctor’s decision to induce labor Thursday night. So please pray for him.

I can’t believe how fast time flies by, but it does. I have a week and three days left until I have this precious baby girl. Andrew and I are on the edge of our seats just waiting for her to arrive. In the mean time these last couple of weeks has been filled with other excitements as far as finding out where Andrew will be stationed, to trying to find a house in a place we are so unfamiliar with. Last weekend my in-laws and I took a spur of the moment trip to Texarkana to meet up with Andrew. Oh, it was so nice to see him one more time before the baby comes. Now granted I was 37 weeks along and probably shouldn’t have gone, but I was not going to pass up a chance to see my sweet hubby. While we were in Texarkana the New Boston area to be more precise, we met with Andrew’s sergeant and wife who were so nice and helpful. They put us in contact with other individuals as well who would be willing to help us find a place to live. God is so good, I can’t say it enough. The people we met from the New Boston area where we will be living were so kind. I could not be more pleased. New Boston is a town of about 5,000, quite a bit smaller then what Andrew and I are used to living in, but I’m so excited to live there. We have so much to look forward to and so many more friends to make… but don’t worry I would never forget the “make new friends but keep the old” song; it’s ingrained in my head from girl scouts. We of course love all of our friends and family. Every one of you have been so encouraging and uplifting throughout this new transition in our life. We can not wait to share with you all the new experiences we will have while living in Texas. Please keep us in your prayers.

On a side note here are a couple more pictures of my last few weeks pregnant.

Baby Shower Fun

I can not even begin to say how blessed I was to have a wonderful baby shower given by the ladies at the church I attend. I was so “overwhelmed,” in a good way by all the kind gifts everyone gave. I can’t thank everyone enough for being so supportive and kind to our family. I’ll say it again and again that God has truly blessed us with an amazing church family.

Here are just a few pictures that were taken at our shower. Everything looked so cute! The hostesses really did a fine job. Thank you so much!!!

BABY BELLY Recap

I haven’t been really bloging about my pregnancy like I attended to do. So let me take just a few minutes and bring you up to date. I’m right now 35 weeks along. I just went to the doctor Tuesday and saw Doctor Gorman, “He’s a GREAT doctor!” He said everything looked wonderful and that he had a feeling since the baby is head down and is already really low that she might come a week early. I’m trying not to hold my breath, but those words sounded fairly promising. It would be ideal if she came early naturally so I could attend my husband’s graduation from DPS academy. It just want what’s best for our little girl. So whatever happens happens. It’s in Gods hands for sure. I have really had a lot of time to prepare for our little girl and catch up on some reading. I’m trying to get all the rest in I can know because later I know I won’t have much time to do so. The most amazing thing about pregnancy is being able to feel the baby move. I love watching my stomach move from side to side. She’s a mover I’ll say that much. She really moves when I talk to Andrew at night. She knows her daddy is on the other line and tries her hardest to get in a few words. She loves her dad so much!!!

Pregnancy for me has been a great experience. Although it is harder to bend over and put my shoes and socks on, “and shave the legs” I can’t lie about that part; and I will say that the constant kicking on my bladder makes the bathroom a very friendly spot to frequent, oh and sleeping on my left side all night can make the hips go numb… that’s about all I can complain about because everything else has been very enjoyable. I want to post some recent belly pictures. I can’t believe how big a belly can get and then weeks later it goes down again. God truly amazes me.

"Above All Else"

It's never to early to share the knowledge of who God is with a child. So, my mission is to read a verse to our little girl every night starting now. I truly believe it’s important for her to know who her maker is and for her to know that he will always be with her to the very end. I want to make a difference in my little girl’s life and what better way to do that then to talk about our Father in heaven who loves and cares for us deeply. Here are the words to a song I found that really sum up how many believing parents feel.
“Above All Else”
So much to say and just a lifetime left to say it.
How quickly time passes.
If I had my way, I’d keep you safe within my arms
While the storm of life crashes.
I won’t always be with you, my child, but words I can give.
When the winds of hope are dying down, these words will live.
Above all else, know God’s the One who’ll never leave you.
Look to Him above all else.
He is love you depend upon, a heart set to care.
If in the darkest night you should be lost, He will be there.
He’s the Everlasting Father,
In his hands you’ll never fall.
He’s the One who holds it all,
Above all else.
He’s the Author of your laughter,
He’s the Keeper of your tears,
He’s the One who you must fear
Above all else.
He’s the Giver of the kingdom
Bought for you right from the start,
And He’ll ask you for you heart
Above all else.

So much to say
And not enough time left to say it.
Just love the Lord
Above all else.

Let the games begin

Tonight I attended the Central, Southwest Basketball Game where I watched my cousin Grant play 8th grade basketball and my cousin Ashley dance during halftime. It brought back so many memories. It’s hard to imagine my cousins out on the court having so much fun. Time fly’s by so fast. It seems like only yesterday I was in their shoes. Grant did a wonderful job and played most of time. Ashley did a great job as well. That girl can move! Central 8th grade boys beat Southwest. I was very proud of them even though they beat the school I attended when I was that age.

I must agree with Ashley the game was a little close, almost to much to handle

Ashley and MorganAshley & Alex

Watching with intensity, waiting to go in

Grant getting ready to make his move

He hustles down the court throwing his arms up getting ready for the rebound

Taking a little breather as his team mate shoots from the three

This is after halftime. Warming up with a smile on his face

He shoots. He SCORES!!!

And there we have it folks. Central 47, Southwest 43

Ashley dancing her heart out
You Go Girl!!!

Grab a book and take a seat

I purchased this book a the Christian Book Store the other day. It appealed to me because prayer is so important I feel. It seems like I don't do it enough. I thought that by purchasing this book, it would encourage me to pray on a daily basis for specific things I might not think about as a new parent. I've learned alot so far and have been very encouraged by this book. Every parent wants the best for thier child. Every parent fears. Every parent is joyful. Every parent can become weary at times. Every parent should want to have a good relationship with God. I have come to realize by reading this book that I can't do everything alone. I have to release my worries and fears into the hands of God as well as mine and Andrew's child, which is a sign of my faith and trust in him.

In the process of reading, which I find enjoyable at times. I started to read this book outloud. I LOVE the DR. Seuss books. I especially love this one. It was given to me by my Girl Scout teacher when I graduated from High School. I find the book encouraging and true. Dr. Seuss says things all to well. "We will look up and down streets and look them over with care. About some we will say, I don't choose to go there. You won't lag behind, because you'll have the speed. You'll pass the whole gang and you'll soon take the lead... Except when you don't. Because sometimes you won't. I'm sorry to say so but, sadly, it's true tht Bang-ups and Hang-ups can happen to you." Those are just a few lessons that this book teaches. I read this book outloud hoping that our little girl will someday enjoy this book as much as I do.

6 + 1 = 7 The Best Day of My Life "June 1, 2007"

I thought before I let any more time pass by, I would share with everyone a few of the many pictures Artistry Portraits took of our wedding day.
They did such a wonderful job. I would recommend them for any occasion.
Here is their web-site

This was our first dance as a married couple

We danced to "You & I" by Michael Buble

It ended up raining the last part of our wedding and not to mention the wind which picked up my veil and made for a great picture.
I would have to say I wouldn't change anything.
It was the BEST day of my life!!
