It was a spooktacular date night.

Date nights with your husband are the best, so Andrew and I decided to go on a fun date night. Eden is Springdale visiting with the grandparents until tomorrow so it was a perfect night for us to go out.

We ended up eating at Applebee’s because the 1st place we picked was closed. After eating till our stomachs were so full I could barely walk, we decided to go home and carve a pumpkin.

I love carving pumpkins.

You know what the best thing to do while carving pumpkins is…drinking apple cider.
It was Andrew’s idea.

So here we are carving our lovely pumpkin

Yes our pumpkin has a bow, so I guess it's a her.
Hmmm... What should we name her?

She's kinda scary, probably hormonal.
I must say our date night was successful. I really enjoyed spending time with my sweet hubby.

Well, tomorrow Eden comes back home. We are so excited! We missed her a lot. Although we got a lot done as far as housework while she was gone, we can’t wait to see her smiling little face and listen to her sweet little voice tell us she wuvs us.

Also I’m so excited about Saturday. Eden is going to be a bumble bee. We found the cute little outfit at cracker barrel when they first put out the Halloween costumes and could not get over how cute it was. Gammy and papa insisted they get it for Eden. So I can’t wait to show you pictures of our cute little bumble bee.

Right Choices

We finally made it to a pumpkin patch, and let me say, it’s like nothing I’ve ever seen. Some of our friends and family ask if we would like to join them for an afternoon at the pumpkin patch, and we were more then willing to join.

The pumpkin patch ended up being an hour away in Southwest, MO at a farm called Right Choices. If you live in the area you have to go!

They had so much to do there. It was a perfect outing for a nice Saturday.

Here is what we did.

Eden and her cousin Taylor holding hands.
I'm so glad they have each other
Sliding down the hay bail.
This was her most favorite thing to do.

Every once and awhile Eden likes to lay down for a quick nap.
The nifty cow train.
We were definitely on board that train!
Lets call some cows shall we!
Betcha can't find Andrew and I.
Eden sliding down the awesome rolloer slide with papa.
She loved it so much she made me go, or maybe I'm just
a big kid and wanted to ride too.
Roller Slide = Lots of Smiles
My lovely parents.
Out of all the pumpkins, dad picked mom.
How sweet!
Some of the cousins

This one looks good. I think I'll take it.
Ready for some hayride fun.
My lovely cousins.

I'm taking this as our trip to the pumpkin patch was a success?

Yes in DEED!

Thats Posh!

Hey Yall! I just wanted to share something exciting with you. Well, it’s exciting to me. My good friend Whitney and her mom just started a new blog shop called Elaine’s Posh Boutique. It has the neatest items like: infant toddler clothes, hats, headbands, and even designer photo frames.

Please go and check it out. They are both so creative and fun! They would love for you pick out something neat from their posh boutique for your little munchkin.

Hope everyone is having a great week!

It’s hump day yay! That means that we leave tomorrow for NWA to see the family!

Can’t Wait!

A Child to Love

I’ve been thinking for a while about making over my blog.
New background, new name, same ideas and thoughts of course just a little something new.

I like a little change now and then, so I hope everyone enjoys the changes too.

I’m calling my blog A Child to Love. I love this name for a couple of reasons.

Reason one, Andrew and I have a precious little girl who we adore more then anything. She makes our life so bright and cheerful. We feel so blessed to have her as our child and to be parents.

Reason two, not only is Eden our child but she is a child of God first. God knew when he made Eden that she was going to be loved so much. We as parents want to live by Gods word and teach Eden about the unconditional love God has for us. We also want to show her how to love by being examples.

So let me start this new blog makeover with a poem I found. I thought it was appropriate for my new title.

A Child to Love
You can have your wealth and riches,
All the things so many seek,
Position, power, and success,
The fame you long to keep.

You can earn as much as you wish,
Reach a status high above,
But none of these can equal
Having one sweet child to love.

‘Tis the greatest gift from heaven,
Little arms that hold you tight,
And a kiss so soft and gentle
When you tuck them in at night.

A million precious questions
And each story often read,
Two eyes so bright and smiling,
And a darling tousled head.

God has never matched the goodness
Of a trusting little face,
Or a heart so full of laughter
Spreading sunshine every place.

A child to hold and cuddle,
‘Tis a gift from God above,
And the world is so much brighter
When you have a child to love.

Friends are the GREATEST!

This is a little delayed but I think it deserves a post.

A week ago Andrew and I were delighted to get to keep a sweet little friend of Eden’s from church. Emma Grace. I’ve talked about this sweet family before. We feel very blessed to have found some great friends like the Strates.

Here are a few pictures of the girls playing.

We also took them on a walk. I love walking on nice days!

While we were taking a stroll Andrew commented to me, “It wouldn’t be so bad having two. You think?”
Me: “Your right it wouldn’t because both of the girls are being good right now. Just think of Eden times ten when she is having a cranky day though.

I just don’t think we are quite ready for two. One day though. One day.

I really do admire mothers with several children. Kids need lots of attention and it’s so neat to see mothers who have several children interact with each one of them, and know each ones specific needs.

I hope one day when we make that decision to add an addition to our family, that I will be able to split my love equally. I know I will, but it’s difficult to think about right now.

I think thats something to add to my prayer list.

For now though I'm going to soak up every minute with my sweet little girl, who is currently sitting in a big girl chair without a booster eating ham and corn with a fork.

Sewing Makes Me Smile!

So today, instead of cleaning my floors during Eden's nap. I decided to do a little sewing. Sewing to me is like a de-stressor, I just enjoy doing it.

Here is what I came up with, a pillowcase dress and some pants to match.

I really love the pillowcase dresses. You can wear them during the summer and the winter. Just add a long sleeve shirt underneath.
This is the first one I made. Thanks to my good friend Elizabeth for helping me along. I think it turned out pretty cute.

Now for a fun little dance clip.

Yes I was wathing the new tv show Glee. Don't judge. HAHA!
